Guitar/Bass

Carl started playing guitar at the age of 10, when his uncle showed him how to play a few chords on an old "box" guitar he found in the attic. While growing up, he took every opportunity to watch older musicians who were performing locally. He took lessons from many local players, and from his teachers at Lafayette High School. He graduated from UMSL with a degree in Music and Education in 1973 and has been teaching at Mozingo Music since 1992. Although he specializes in classical and jazz guitar, his ability enables him to play all styles of music.
