Drumset/Percussion

drumming.jpgErin is an experienced percussion and drum set instructor who received her BM in Percussion Performance at Mannes College of Music in New York. She started teaching at the St. Louis Symphony Music School and from there went to New York to teach at the Third Street Music Settlement and Carnegie Hall. Her most recent teaching position was in Taichung, Taiwan from 2003-2005 at the Taichung School of Arts and Music. Erin's performance achievements include playing percussion at the International Women’s Brass Conference in 1996, an American tour led by Susan Slaughter and Principal Orchestral Players and 'The True Heart', a ceremony and performance with Glen Velez in 1998. She also played in a Brazilian Band for 'De La Guarda Argentinian Dance Troupe' at the 2003 VH-1 Fashion Awards, vibraphone and percussion in the Pop Music performing group 'Champale', and drumset/percussion for the Asian tour of Broadway Revue 'Bright Lights! Broadway!’. She was also in the back-up band for Peter Cetera of Chicago. Erin has played and recorded albums with Pizzicato Five (Japan-Matador), David Garza (Atlantic Records), Champale (Pitch-a-Tent), Clem Snide (spinART), Kill Henry Sugar, as well as various compilations. She was also the percussionist/drummer for Hazmat Modine (Blues band), RED (rock band), and Yuzuro (Pop). She is currently a freelance performer in the St. Louis area. Erin has been teaching for 15 years and has been with Mozingo Music since 2006.
