Piano and Voice
Daniel received his BS in Music Education and his MS in Choral Music Education from UIUC in 1995 and 2003. A frequent chamber musician and collaborator and accompanist throughout the Midwest, he serves frequently as a choral and instrumental accompanist at festivals and music camps, including ISYM, with which he has been affiliated for over 20 years. Recent guest recitals have taken place at Augustana College (IL) and Loyola University (LA). Previously he served on the instrumental and choral staff at the Camp Point (IL) schools and in Unit 4 (Champaign, IL). A dedicated church musician, he has served in various capacities as organist, choir director, or music director at several churches since 1995. He recently finished an 11-year tenure as accompanist for the Illinois Symphony Chorus (Springfield, IL), where he assisted in the preparation of many choral-orchestral works including Beethoven, Symphony No. 9 and Choral Fantasy, the Requiems of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Faure, Brahms, Beethoven, Durufle, and Mozart, as well as the Dixit Dominus of Handel and the Haydn Harmoniemesse. A dedicated teacher, he has served on the faculty of the Conservatory of Central Illinois since 1996 and teaches students of all ages, as well as serving as staff accompanist. |
