Guitar Master Class
at The Stage
Saturday Nov. 15th 1:00pm
The reigning World Champion winner of the 37th Annual Walnut Valley Festival International Fingerstyle Guitar Competition, Tim Thompson is now one of the most "in demand" artists on the guitar scene today.
Tim's live performances are the culmination of all his hard work, and reveal Tim's candid, down to earth personality, seen often at Nashville's world-renowned Blue Bird Cafe and solo concerts around the US. He has appeared on The Grand Old Opry's WSM radio program "Opry Star Spotlight", performed live bumper music for nationally syndicated talk show host Phil Valentine and NPRs "The Songwriter Sessions".
Thompson's righ style has brought recognition through endorsements by Canadian Guitar Company, Garrison Guitars, Elixir Strings, and national record distribution with New Day Christian Distributors. Tim has accumulated a large catalog of songs and has had his songs recorded by artists that have received extensive airplay in the US and Europe.

Fastest Hands and Fastest Feet!
36 people participated in the fastest hands and fastest feet contest at Mozingo Music. The competition was held at The Stage on November 8 from 12:30 to 3:00 pm. Winner of the fastest hands was Kevin Clark who had 831 single strokes for 60 seconds. Winner of the fastest feet was Bobby Brown who had 796 single beats for 60 seconds. The contest was co-sponsored by Tama and Yamaha. Tama gave an Iron Cobra double bass drum pedal away and Yamaha gave a snare drum away. It allowed people of all ages to participate and everyone showed what they had for chops. Thanks to all who participated and we look forward to the next competition.
Grand Opening
On May 17, 2008 Mozingo Music opened its newest facility called The Stage. Students, parents, family and staff were invited to check out the new stage and enjoy food, drinks and performances by some of Mozingo’s teaching staff. (Click on the image below to start the slideshow).
On June 7 Mozingo Music threw a party in the parking lot having area vendors and businesses participate. JoyFM kicked off the day by having a live remote broadcast in the store and The Smash Band jammed outside on a stage in the parking lot creating a great vibe on a beautiful Saturday. Performances were given by O’Fallon store teachers Brian May, Chris Weiss and Scott Lyle. Wendi Dicken-Bradshaw and family gave a great performance to kick off the performances in The Stage. A great day was had by all.
