Scott graduated at Johnson County Community College as well as well as Kansas University. His music classes include Harmony, Music History, Music Listening, and Composition. He studied with a half dozen guitar teachers growing up, and had many other influences which include: Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Steely Dan, Grant Green, Van Halen, and of course, C.C. Deville. He is currently the singer and guitar player for the band Thos, and has been responsible for running live band nights for students, booking the show, holding rehearsals, and performing at venues such as Cicero's for the friends and parents of his students. He has been teaching for 7+ years and has been with Mozingo Music since 2005.
