BIOGRAPHY

     Doug Byrkit is a producer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist from St. Louis, MO. A veteran of the St. Louis scene with over 13 year’s professional experience recording and touring. He is versed in many styles ranging from rock, jazz, blues, ect… A songwriter/musician from age 12, Doug has continued to build an impressive body of work from sideman to solo recordings.

      His exploits have taken him around the country and the globe gathering the experiences that go into every one of his songs. A graduate of Southern Illinois University with a B.A. in music performance, Doug combines the expertise of a schooled musician with the soul of someone who learned more from doing than from any book.

      Doug continues to build an impressive resume not only as a musician and songwriter but also as a successful producer with the birth of his own production company Mid-World Productions and his continue work as band leader for his current music project The Breakers. His unique approach and consummate professionalism has earned him the respect of many in the St. Louis area including musicians, fans, and local radio.
